April’s been a busy month, but the highlight of the equestrian calendar has undoubtedly been the FEI World Cup Finals™ held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. From unexpected Dressage personal bests to a Jumping masterclass, there were certainly some twists and turns at the biggest show of 2024 so far.

And of course, there’s been some amazing Instagram posts from the everyday riders out there with adorable ponies, quirky horses, and horse fanatics everywhere reminding us why we love this sport and lifestyle. Let’s check out what’s had us playing those reels on repeat this month...

Patrik Kittel finally had his moment after eight previous World Cup attempts, with a James Bond-inspired Freestyle on his Swedish Warmblood, Touchdown. What’s that saying? If at first you don’t succeed…

It was certainly a good show for Team Sweden. Henrik von Eckermann and King Edward secured the World title for the second year in a row. Could we see them take the gold in Paris too?

You know how the horsey partner always has a photo of them and their horse as their profile photo, and the non-horsey partner has a photo of the two of you? Well…that’s because true love is your horse calling to you from their field.

The cutest pair! Look at those little pony-size steps to match the human tiny steps.

Mimi Gochman has achieved more at the tender age of 19 than many athletes do in a lifetime – and we think there’s still loads more to come from our Longines FEI Rising Star winner!

If horses were people, this would definitely be a goofy pre-schooler walking with his oversized backpack on the first day  <3

Although we were rooting for a fairytale World Cup for Skylar Wireman and Tornado, we absolutely loved seeing her put her horse’s wellbeing above all else and withdraw because she felt the course would be too technical for him. We’re sure this young pair has an unbelievably bright future ahead of them!

And speaking of young pairs with a bright future, we’re pretty sure 6-year-old Mili and her pony Blue are going to be collecting medals like nobody’s business for the next few years. Watch out for Mili and her sister in the, let's say, 2040 Olympics!
