03 October 2024

It's time to have your say...

Voting is now under way for the FEI Awards 2024, with equestrian fans around the world getting the chance to pick their winners!

This year’s FEI Awards feature four categories with the short-listed nominees hoping to add their names to a roll of honour that dates back to 2009.

The public have until 13 October to cast their vote for the 16 shortlisted nominees. The winners will be decided by a voting system that is based 50% on the public vote and 50% on the judges’ panel featuring equestrian experts.

The winners will be announced at this year’s FEI Awards Gala presented by Longines, in Abu Dhabi (UAE) on 13 November. Vote here today!

“The FEI Awards is an opportunity to celebrate the best of our sport and the best of the wider equestrian community,” the FEI said. “We encourage enthusiasts from all over the world to pick their favourites from what is such a strong list of nominees, comprising elite athletes, rising stars and grooms, and champions of horsemanship at the grassroots level.”

Biggest names

Some of equestrian sport's biggest names feature in the Peden Bloodstock FEI Best Athlete category, including Olympic gold medallists Laura Collett (GBR) and Christian Kukuk (GER), the 2024 FEI Driving World Cup™ winner Bram Chardon (NED) and FEI Vaulting World champion Théo Gardies (FRA). Last year's winner was German Dressage athlete Jessica von Bredow-Werndl.

The Longines FEI Rising Star celebrates our sport's most promising young talents, while the Cavalor FEI Best Groom award is for the behind-the-scenes heroes.

The FEI Inspire award returns having been included for the first time in 2023. This category unites elements from the FEI Solidarity and FEI Against All Odds awards that were handed out in previous years. As the name suggests, the award has been designed to showcase the incredible spirit and determination of individuals who serve as role models and show that anything is possible.

The panel of expert judges includes Ingmar De Vos, the FEI’s President, as well as FEI Vice President Mark Samuel and Catrin Norinder, FEI Eventing & Olympic Director. Representatives from award sponsors Longines, Cavalor and Peden Bloodstock are also on the panel, as is Nanda-Devi Norodom, Secretary General of the Cambodian Equestrian Federation.
