Equestrian World goes behind the scenes at the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final...
The focus of the Dressage world was on Gothenburg last month with the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final taking place in the Swedish city.
While most of the discipline's greatest human and equine athletes had to travel by air, land and sea, local hero Patrik Kittel did not have far to go as he pursued his first ever FEI Dressage World Cup™ title.
The charismatic local favourite spoke to Equestrian World about the magic of performing at the Scandinavium - the home of so many world finals over the years - as well as the thrill of becoming a father for the first time last year.
"The crowd in Sweden, and especially at the Scandinavium, is just electric, as the fans cheer on all the riders," he says. "That makes it so special."
"My daughter will be watching the final for the first time and it will be interesting to see how she reacts!"
