In our latest Athlete in Focus video, we find out more about Dressage ace Daniel Bachmann Andersen and his incredible horse Blue Hors Zack.

Daniel is a 28-year-old Danish athlete who recently made a fantastic start to the new FEI Dressage World Cup™ season with an impressive victory in Herning.

His win in front of a passionate home crowd was achieved with Blue Hors Zack, a determined 14-year-old stallion. The relationship between horse and rider is strong, not least as Zack is half-blind. "He has to trust me even more than the other horses," says Daniel.

In this latest Athlete in Focus video, Daniel discusses his partner Zack, their fabulous performance in Herning and his targets for the indoor season...

Daniel also discusses the importance of experienced groom Robbie Sanderson, whose influence has helped inspire his progress in the last couple of years.

Daniel's career is certainly heading in the right direction as he achieved top 10 finishes in last season's FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final in Paris and the recent FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon.

Daniel says: “Robbie will say, ‘maybe try this this’ and I’ll try it and it always works, because he has so much experience!

“To have a man like him is gold. He has seen the world, he has tried everything, and there's nothing that can surprise him.

“It's just amazing for a young person as me to have someone on my side that has that experience. He really helps me.”
