2018's Top 20
Equestrian
Moments
Nos. 20-16

28 December 2018

Over the next few weeks we'll each day be counting down the top 20 moments of equestrian action from 2018...

From magical victories in major competitions to thrilling rivalries and amazing achievements against the odds, we'll be marking the greatest moments from a 12-month period that included the FEI World Equestrian Games™, Asian Games and Youth Olympic Games.

Our countdown looks across the disciplines and all around the world for those key events that will be remembered.

We begin with No.20 as young Danish Dressage star Daniel Bachmann Andersen began the 2018-19 indoor season with a victory in front of his home crowd in Herning, scooping a personal best score of 83.575 percent and a first FEI Dressage World Cup™ win in the process.

His tempi was perfectly timed to the music and his expressive riding helped him to an artistry score of 90.2 to finish ahead of Helen Langehanenberg.

In at No.19 is Christian Ahlmann, who rounded off his partnership with the retiring Taloubet Z with a thriling win in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ in Leipzig in January.

Come back each day as our countdown continues...
