Equestrian Sport is Our Passion
Longines’ Ambassadors Stefanie Graf and Ludger Beerbaum spoke about their heroes and their sports during an interview with FEI journalist Louise Parkes at the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping and FEI World Cup™ Dressage Finals in Omaha, Nebraska (USA).
Stefanie, who collected 22 Grand Slam titles during her sensational 18-year career and who has often been described as the greatest female tennis player of all time, presented the trophies to 2017 Dressage champion Isabell Werth from Germany and America’s McLain Ward who achieved a lifetime ambition when clinching the Jumping title after more than 25 years of trying.
Four-time Olympic gold medallist Ludger, who announced his retirement from team showjumping last year but who continues to compete individually, talked about the motivation and passion that drives top sportsmen and women.
“Talent isn’t everything…in a way you have to be a little bit crazy to push yourself so hard!”
