Ever wondered what it feels like to qualify for WEG? Share the moment Natasha Baker found out she had made GB's 2018 squad...

It's been a whirlwind year for British Para-Dressage ace Natasha Baker and her new mare Diva. The two only partnered up in January, following the tragic death of Natasha's cherished mount Cabral last year, but have made the starting list for the FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon later this month.

While Natasha is a five-time Olympic gold medallist, who also won Team gold and Individual silver at WEG 2014, her joy at making the British squad for this year's event in Tryon was the same as a newbie called up for the first time. In her latest vlog (below), we see the moment Natasha takes the call that confirms her spot in Tryon!

After tragically losing Cabral in 2017 to an infection, Natasha is now focused on achieving success with Diva.

"I literally can't believe it," she says. "I'm so so excited and above everything else I'm just really, really proud of everything that Diva and I have achieved in such a short period of time.

"I am so excited to get out there."

There's lots for Natasha to do in the build-up to WEG, and she talks through her plans in her latest vlog.

In another recent video she described the challenges of helping nine-year-old Diva to adapt to competing with a Para-Dressage athlete for the first time. She said riding Diva is “literally her favourite place to be in the world.”
