How you can refuse or opt out of cookies

Most browsers are set by default to accept cookies automatically, but usually you can alter the settings of your browser to prevent automatic acceptance and prompt you every time a cookie is sent to you or to allow you to choose not to receive cookies at all. • IE11,10

  Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet options.
  On the Privacy tab, move the slider up to Block all cookies

• IE9,8,7

  Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.
  Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options. Click the Privacy tab, and then, under Settings, move the slider to the top to block all cookies or to the bottom to allow all cookies, and then click OK.

• Chrome

  Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar
  Select Settings
  Click Show advanced settings
  In the "Privacy" section, click the Content settings button
  In the "Cookies" section, select "Block sites from setting any data"

  Select 'Tools' from the main task bar and then 'Options'
  Click on the 'Cookie' panel
  Select the Privacy panel
  Under the 'Cookies' section uncheck the 'Accept cookies from sites' option
  Click 'OK'

  Click on the Tools button from the main task bar and then 'Preferences'
  Click on the 'Security' panel
  Under the 'Accept Cookies' section click on 'Never'
