Seventh FEI Driving World Championship, Four-in-Hand

Six years after Kecskemet in 1978, Hungary played host to the seventh FEI Driving World Championship for Four-in-Hand in Szilvasvarad.

Although the venue changed from Kecskemet to Szilvasvarad, the Hungarians used the energy of the home crowd to their advantage winning the full set of individual medals. Gold went to Laszlo Juhasz, silver to Gyorgy Bardos, and bronze to Mihaly Balint.

Another two Hungarians tied for fourth place.

The team gold was Hungary’s as well with a team composed of Sandor Fulop, Laszlo Juhasz, and Gyorgy Bardos. Sweden and Great Britain were took silver and bronze respectively.
