Hungary is a country with a long tradition in Driving, and as the event’s host nation, it went on to win virtually all the medals, except for individual silver and bronze.

1976 silver medal winner Gyorgy Bardos was crowned the individual champion followed by fellow Hungarians Sandor Fulop and Ferenc Muity. All the individual medallists were on the Hungarian team and secured team gold.

Team silver and bronze went to the Federal Republic of Germany and Great Brittany respectively.
