The second edition of the FEI Driving World Championship for Four-in-Hand was held at Frauenfeld (SUI), 40 km away from Zurich.
This was the first of four consecutive individual golds for Hungary, which was won on this occasion by Sandor Fulop, who beat home driver Cristian Iseli and George Bowman of Great Britain.
Bowman along with fellow countryman John Miller secured team gold for Great Britain ahead of Switzerland and Poland, a feat, which they repeated two years later at Apeldoorn (NED).
