Gruelling Gowran Girl

D’Inzeo’s mare Gowran Girl proved the big challenge of the final. She incurred four faults with d’Inzeo and was difficult with Delía, with whom she had three fences down. Things got even more hairy with Broome and Steinkraus, who each had four fences down.

Broken bones

Disaster ensued for Steinkraus, who broke his collar bone in a fall at the water jump with Broome’s Sunsalve and was eliminated.

Following all the drama and with Gowran Girl’s help, d’Inzeo won his second world title.
