General Interest
Hero / Idol Her father. (, 2008)
Awards and honours In January 2018 she and her international teammates Vasco Mira Godinho, Bonaventura Freire and Daniel Pinto received the Sport Merit Trophy from the Portuguese Federation of Sports. The honour was in recognition of their sixth-place finish in the team event at the 2017 European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. (, 18 Jan 2018)
Famous relatives Her father Paulo and her brother Joao have both been important figures in Portuguese bullfighting. (, 28 Jun 2011)
Other information NATIONAL HORSES
She rides the Portuguese Lusitano breed of horse during competitions. "I think that a good horse is a good horse, no matter the breed he is. Of course it is more meaningful to me to achieve results with a Lusitano. Their 'warrior' mindset and willingness to always be at the side of the rider, their natural charm and the ability to make collected movements are the great advantages of the Lusitanos. The challenge for the Lusitano breed is to keep improving the body strength of the horses." (, 05 Jan 2019)

She relocated to Germany in May 2018, and was initially based at Irina Zakhrabekova's stables in Krefeld. She then moved to the Hof Kasselmann equestrian centre in Hagen, Germany, where she trains with Dutch coach Ton de Ridder. (, 05 Jan 2019)

In 2008 she completed a master's degree in accounting at the Portuguese Catholic University in Lisbon, Portugal. (LinkedIn profile, 2018)
