Injuries He dislocated his shoulder after falling from his horse Legend of Love during a training session at the 2017 European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. He was ruled out of the championships. (horseandhound.co.uk, 22 Aug 2017)

Famous relatives His twin brother Nicola has represented Belgium in equestrian jumping, claiming victory in the team competition at the 2017 Nations Cup event in Lisbon, Portugal. His father Ludo has competed for Belgium at four editions of the Olympic Games, and his uncle Johan has also represented Belgium in equestrian. His cousin Pieter Clemens was part of the Belgian equestrian jumping squad that won team gold at the 2015 European Young Riders Championships in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. His younger brothers Thibault and Anthony have also competed in equestrian at international level.
