General Interest
Injuries In February 2009 he was sidelined for two months after breaking both collarbones when he fell while practising with a new horse. His jaw was also broken after he was kicked by the horse. (equisport.com, 06 Feb 2009)

In 2021 he relocated to California, United States of America. "I love to be here; the facilities are really good. I love the ground [footing] because you cannot hear the horses. It's like cotton. The atmosphere, the mountains, the desert, it's all wonderful! And the people are very kind. It's the same as Portugal, it makes me feel at home."
