In 2017, at age 53, he took part in a five-star international jumping event for the first time after several years away from the highest level. He said that the victory of his brother Philippe at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro triggered his desire to return, with the aim of winning gold at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo to match his father and brother's achievements. "Some friends encouraged me to return. I struggled being the 'son of' [Marcel Rozier], but Philippe's victory proved that we can succeed not because we are 'the sons of Marcel' but because we can work for it. Nothing is given to us. [Winning gold at Tokyo 2020] is what I am motivated by, to close the circle with my father and my brother." (, 29 Jul 2017 ;, 22 Jun 2017)

He has served as coach of Charlotte Casiraghi, Princess of Monaco, and Greek rider Electra Niarchos. He has also served as sporting director of the International Jumping Event of Chantilly, France. (, 22 Feb 2018;, 21 Jul 2014;, 22 Jun 2017)
