Biography
General Interest
Most influential person in career His father Mick, and British jumper Peter Charles. (kingsland.no, 03 May 2013)
Sporting philosophy / motto "Quite simply, you've got to want to win, every time. You also need to recognise that successful showjumping is never about conquering or dominating a horse, it is about intuition and learning how to read each individual animal to get the best results." (jacksons-equestrian.co.uk, 16 Dec 2013)
Famous relatives His father Mick Williams was an equestrian jumper at national level. His brother Thomas Williams trains and trades horses for jumping, while his wife Rebecca and daughter Maisy have competed in the sport at international level. Other information STABLES
He is based at a yard in Myton-on-Swale, England. (teamwilliamsgb.com, 28 Jul 2022)

SYNDICATE
In May 2022 he launched Guy Williams Jumping Club, a syndicate allowing members to buy a share in his horse Mr Sky Blue UK. "Guy Williams Jumping Club has been set up to give showjumping fans the opportunity to be part of a world class showjumper. Whenever 'Blue' competes, the interest in him is unbelievable. The amount of people who want to take a glimpse of him, posting videos and photos on social media is astonishing. I'm regularly asked by his fans if they can have their photos with him so I came up with the idea of putting together a club so his fans can get closer to the action and see what goes on behind the scenes. In horse racing there are hundreds of syndicates and racing clubs, so the model and idea is nothing new." (equestrianlifemagazine.co.uk, 09 May 2022)

TIME ABROAD
In 2015 he moved from England to Deauville, France, as he felt it would be easier for him to participate in more shows at a higher level of competition. He returned to England in 2020.
