He and his wife Aude run Ecurie Scherer in Saint Gervais, France, where they coach riders and train and trade horses for competition. The business also offers holiday homes and a riding school. (, 29 Apr 2018;, 23 Oct 2016)

He competed at the World Equestrian Games [WEG] for the first time at the 2014 edition in Normandy, France. His father Ivan was supposed to watch him there but died on the evening of the first day of competition. The following day, Rodolphe rode in the dressage phase and was then clear in the cross-country and equestrian jumping sections to finish 19th. "It was the best day of my career," Rodolphe said.
