Alongside the Haras des Coudrettes stables and fellow French jumper Kevin Staut, he established in 2012 a joint company called JumpFIVE, with the aim of creating a high-profile competitive barn to help them compete at the highest level. (, 18 Dec 2017)

He had to withdraw from the 2012 Olympic Games in London due to an injury to his horse Orient Express HDC. He also made the decision not to compete at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, with Orient Express HDC suffering a spell of poor form after an injury sustained in 2015. "My entire career has been with a lot of ups and downs. When we talk of the Olympic Games, then it goes down very low. It is hard mentally for me, for my team, and for the owners."
