Her sister Gina claimed victory in dressage at the 2008 World Cup event in Marianske Lazne, Czech Republic. Her niece Fabienne Lutkemeier was part of the German squad that won gold in the team competition at the 2014 World Equestrian Games [WEG] in Normandy, France.
