FEI CONGRESS ON NSAID USE IN COMPETITION

Over the two-day Congress participants were presented with the most up-to-date scientific data available from globally respected experts,  and non-scientific viewpoints from globally-respected authorities, many leading figures in their respective fields. Legal and ethical issues were also discussed and comparisons with other sports were explored. Views from riders, veterinarians, scientists and the media were also heard in panel discussions, and the attendees were invited to participate in a question and discussion sessions regularilyregularly throughout to end the Congress.

The FEI NSAID Congress was hailed as an invaluable contribution towards the ongoing NSAID debate on the in-competition use of NSADIS, culminating in a vote at the FEI General Assembly in November, and feedback for the Congress has been overwhelmingly positive.
