FEI CONFERENCES
The FEI has traditionally organised or co-organised Conferences on a wide variety of issues related to Horse Welfare, Doping and Controlled Medication and International Movement of Sport Horses. These Conferences have convened International experts, key members of the world’s equine industry and leading equine veterinarians providing a platform for invaluable debate and contributing to ground-breaking scientific progress.

In 2010, the Congress on Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) Usage and Medication in the Equine Athlete in Lausanne, Switzerland, brought together over 200 delegates from various countries to review and discuss the most up-to-date scientific data and non-scientific aspects of NSAID usage.
In 2011, the OIE-FEI Conference on the International Movement of Horses in Guadalajara, Mexico, initiated the discussion on approaches to safely moving horses internationally, in particular to competitions in compliance with international standards.
Also in 2011, the Annual WEVA Conference hosted a special FEI Session devoted to the Sport Horse, in Hyderabad, India. The FEI session highlighted the past and current contribution of the veterinary profession to the equestrian sport.
