The pages provided to your left present brief biographies on the officials nominated for the 2008 Olympic Games (please note that not all officials are presented here – simply the main positions).
In a nutshell, the following applies when appointing officials to Olympic Games:
· The President and Members of the Ground Juries are appointed by the relevant Technical Committee with the approval of the Bureau.
· The President and Members of the Appeal Committee are appointed by the FEI Bureau.
Three Foreign Technical Delegates shall be appointed by the relevant Technical Committee with the approval of the FEI Bureau in accordance with the FEI General Regulations:
· A Technical Delegate for Jumping, selected from the FEI list of Official International Course Designers
· A Technical Delegate for Eventing, selected from the FEI list of International Technical Delegates
· A FEI Veterinary Delegate (FVD)
· A Technical Delegate will be appointed for Dressage by the relevant Technical Committee with the approval of the FEI Bureau; however he will have the same status as the President and the Members of the Ground Jury.
