IOC President visits Aachen
Today the IOC President Jacques Rogge visited Aachen, site of the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games, on the invitation of the FEI President. He met with FEI officials and staff members, Olympic champions and members of the Organising Committee and watched the Jumping competition. “It is a great pleasure to attend the FEI World Equestrian Games here in Aachen and I thank the FEI for their invitation,” the IOC President declared. “I have been impressed by the professionalism, level and quality of the competitions. I look forward to seeing some of these talented athletes in Hong Kong, the equestrian site of the Olympic competition in 2008. I would also like to take this opportunity to praise FEI President HRH Princess Haya’s dedication and enthusiasm in her new role.”
