FEI World Endurance Riders Rankings Update
Jack Begaud dominates the world of Endurance at the end of October
The 5th edition of the new FEI Endurance World Ranking List includes events from 1 January 2005 to 30 October 2005.
With 790 points, Jack Begaud is the undisputed leader of the FEI World Endurance Rankings. He added 124 points more to his score during October, notably thanks to his 7th place in Montcuq with his relatively inexperienced mount Najshan. Finishing second in Montcuq with Jonas de Griège, only 10” behind the winner Karine Hebrault, Ludovic Saroul (FRA) keeps the runner-up’s spot with 741 points. The French domination is complete with Maurice Saint placing third and multi-medallist Sunny Demedy at the fourth place.
Belinda Hitzler (GER), who was leading the World Rankings this summer, has to settle for the 5th position, ahead of a newcomer to the Top 10, Dominique Freeman (GBR), who placed 2nd behind Karen Kroon (USA) at the North American Championship in Elkton. Based in California, Dominique Freeman finished the championship in 11:45:50 seconds on Jayel Super, a 13-year-old bay Arabian gelding, but as a citizen of Great Britain, was not eligible for a medal in the North American Championship. No medal but 156 points for the World Rankings, which catapulted him from 27th to 6th position.
Excellent progression also for Cécile Mosti (FRA), at the 9th place, who enters the Top Ten thanks to her 5th place in Montcuq. She was 45th at the end of September.
Since January 2005, 1884 riders received points for the FEI Endurance World Riders Rankings.
