FIRST FEI WORLD CUP™ DRIVING POINTS FOR IJSBRAND CHARDON by Cindy Timmer

IJsbrand Chardon (NED) won the first FEI World Cup™ Driving competition of the season held in Hannover, Germany, this wekeend. His compatriot Koos de Ronde finished second, ahead of Tomas Eriksson (SWE) who was struck by fate in the winning round.

Boyd Exell from Australia has successfully defended his FEI World Cup™ Driving title in a thrilling finish in Leipzig (GER) to become only the second driver to score a hat-trick of World Cup victories. FINAL STARTLIST ANNOUNCED FOR FEI WORLD CUP™ DRIVING IN LEIPZIG

Driving fans will be treated to a thrilling Final for the 10th season of the FEI World Cup™ Driving series in Leipzig, Germany, from 27 April to 1 May 2011.

Five of the seven four-in-hand drivers who will start in Leipzig have already won a World Cup round this season, highlighting the incredible level of skills for this year’s FEI World Cup™ Driving Final.

Australian Boyd Exell laid down a marker for his rivals as the FEI World Cup™ Driving season got underway in Germany.
 
The Double World Cup Champion and recent World Four-in-Hand Champion won the first competition of the season in Hannover, finishing ahead of Hungary’s József Dobrovitz and IJsbrand Chardon from the Netherlands.
