The 2013 season has seen the introduction of a new formula for the FEI Nations Cup™. Following a new sponsorship deal with the Saudi Equestrian Fund, this historic series will now be known as the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping. Under the new rules, the world has been divided into six regions for the purpose of qualifying teams for a world Final. The six regions are Europe (Divisions 1 and 2), North America, South America, Middle East, Asia and Africa.
The following points system is used for all qualifying competitions:

| 2nd - | 90 points | 7th - | 65 points |
| 3rd - | 82 points | 8th - | 64 points |
| 4th - | 75 points | 9th - | 60 points |
| 5th - | 70 points | 10th - | 59 points |
