Lord Coe names equestrian “one of the great Olympic sports”

Lord Sebastian Coe, Chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has described equestrian as “one of the great Olympic sports”. Lord Coe, who was elected as the new chairman of the British Olympic Association yesterday, addressed the FEI General Assembly in Istanbul (TUR) via video link today, congratulating the FEI and its President, HRH Princess Haya, on an “exceptional Olympic equestrian event” at London 2012. Day two for the Team tests and Great Britain on the road to gold

On this second day of competition, the remaining three Grades - IV, III and Ia – took centre stage for their first London 2012 Paralympic outing to perform in the Team test. All five Grades have now completed the team test and the all-time record holders Great Britain have taken a strong and early lead. The way the team score works is that the best three scores in the team test from each nation are added to the best three scores in the Individual Championships test to decide the winner.Read more
