Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy announce test event dates

Test events in four FEI disciplines will take place in 2013 and a further two in 2014 in preparation for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy. The test events will run according to the following schedule: Endurance –16 August at Sartilly Eventing –16-18 August at Haras du Pin and Caen Driving –22-25 August in Caen Reining –20 October in Caen (Parc des expositions) The test events in Jumping and Dressage will be held in June 2014. USA withdraws from FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2018 bidding

Wellington (USA), which had been confirmed as an official candidate to stage the FEI World Equestrian Games™ in 2018, has withdrawn from the bidding process. Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP), the company that had put together the US bid for 2018, informed the FEI today that it was officially withdrawing from the process, due to a change in local government. Hungary withdraws bid to stage FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2018

Hungary, one of five countries confirmed as official candidates to stage the FEI World Equestrian Games™ in 2018, has withdrawn from the bidding process. The Hungarian capital Budapest had been named as one of the five 2018 bid cities earlier this month, but in a letter to FEI Secretary General Ingmar De Vos this week, the President of the Hungarian National Federation Vilmos Lázár confirmed that the Hungarian bid has now been withdrawn.Read more
