Americans dominate at the FEI World Reining Masters Finals, Saturday, October 21 in Denver, Colorado, taking home both the Gold and Silver medals. Gold Medalist Shawn Flarida of Springfield, Ohio, scored 223.5 in the Masters Open Division riding Tinsel Nic. He earned an unofficial USD 17,906.25 gaining him an elite distinction within the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA). Flarida now joins the Two Million Dollar Rider Club. World Champion Reiner Tim McQuay is the only other rider in NRHA history to earn that two million dollar distinction.

23 October 2006Denver, CO (USA), 21 October 2006The FEI Reining Committee met on 21 October in Denver, CO (USA) in conjunction with the FEI World Reining Masters Finals 2006. The following items were discussed: - FEI World Equestrian Games 2006: The Reining World Championships during the FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen were reviewed. Noting the very successful competitions, the Committee discussed ways to ensure that Reining will continue to grow in view of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010 in Kentucky.

27 September 2006Denver, CO (USA), 17 - 22 October 2006 Excitement reaches a new high as the reining elite from all around the world make their way to Denver (USA). Organizers expect that up to 30,000 spectators and 500 horses from four continents will take part in the Western International Reining Festival, proud home of the prestigious 2006 FEI World Reining Masters Finals and NRHA Mountain Region Affiliate Finals Championships. The Western International runs 17 - 22 October at the National Western Complex in Denver, CO (USA).
