The following items were brought to the attention of the Bureau for information and approval following the two meetings of the FEI Reining Committee held in Lausanne (SUI) on 14-15 June and 18 August 2007.

1. WORKING GROUP – COURSES AND EDUCATION. A Working Group consisting of FEI Reining Director, Mr Wall, Mr Straus and Mr Grether has been formed to oversee the processes of courses – education material and criteria to be fulfilled before a judge can take an exam and be recommended for promotion. The Working group will also work on updating the current FEI Course material.

2. DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS PLAN. A Working Group has been formed, consisting of Committee Chairman, Dr Müller, Mr Perscechino, Mrs Kirshner and Mr Thompson. It will follow up on the Reining survey and will look into financing, analyse the good point of Reining technically and look at what it has to offer in order to sell the sport to a larger audience.

The corrections and additions to the FEI Rules For Reining Events, 2nd edition, and the to the FEI World Reining Masters Rules 2008 were approved.
