FEI BUREAU APPROVES POINTS SYSTEM FOR HSBC FEI CLASSICS™ 2011
21 March 2011The FEI Bureau has approved a revised points system for the HSBC FEI Classics™ 2011 series.

The new system, which takes on board recommendations from event organisers involved in the series, has now been brought in line with other rankings and standings in Eventing.

KIHIKIHI KICKS OFF FEI WORLD CUP™ EVENTING 2011 SERIES 1 March 2011The FEI World Cup™ Eventing 2011 series kicks off at Kihikihi in New Zealand on 7-10 April, when John Nicholson’s imaginative cross-country course will test the mettle of some of the world’s most talented horse and rider combinations.
This year’s series - which takes place at eight venues across Australasia, Europe and the UK - will once again run in similar fashion to the Meydan FEI Nations Cup™ in Jumping, with the rider topping the points table at the end of the season claiming the prestigious title of FEI World Cup™ Eventing champion 2011.

18 February 2011HSBC has agreed a further three-year term as global sponsor of FEI Eventing to include title sponsorships of the HSBC FEI Classics™ until the end of 2013 and the HSBC FEI European Eventing Championships™ in both 2011 and 2013.
HSBC has supported the FEI Classics™ series since 2008 and will be contributing US$ 1 million in prize money over the next three years, which represents the biggest prize pot on offer in Eventing on an annual basis.

1 February 2011The FEI Eventing Risk Management Action Plan, which was launched in January 2010, is on target, as shown by the steady decrease in the percentage of Cross-Country falls.
National Safety Officers (NSOs) from 22 nations who attended the FEI’s annual NSO seminar in Greenwich, London (GBR) on 29-30 January were shown provisional statistics for 2010 which demonstrate that as numbers of international events and participants increase, the incidence of falls continues to decrease.

20 November 2010SATO TAKES INDIVIDUAL TITLE AS JAPAN DOES THE DOUBLE IN EVENTING
Kenki Sato claimed individual gold and helped Japan to secure the team title in Eventing at the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China today. The Buddhist monk, who finished 35th with his other ride, Hop and Skip, at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Kentucky in October, was lying second with Toy Boy after dressage and added nothing further to his score to take the individual honours ahead of Korea's Jai Sik Cheon.
