HSBC FEI CLASSICS™ 2012: THE SEASON RESUMES WITH RECORD ENTRIES AT KENTUCKY

2 April 2012William Fox-Pitt (GBR) will head into the third leg of the HSBC FEI Classics™ at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event (USA) on 26-29 April sporting the armband reserved for the leader of the HSBC Rankings.
Fox-Pitt, who last wore the armband at the second last leg of the HSBC FEI Classics™ 2011 at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, now leads the HSBC Rankings 59 points clear of Andrew Nicholson (NZL) and 146 points ahead of Piggy French (GBR).

Reigning World and European Champion Michael Jung led Germany to a convincing victory at the first leg of the FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing held in Fontainebleau, France.
Jung had three rides and dominated the contest from the outset, finishing at the head of the field with his Badminton entry, Leopin, after adding just two Cross Country time penalties to his first-phase mark of 37.4.

15 February 2012The FEI’s first team Eventing series, the FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing 2012, will début at Fontainebleau (FRA) on 22-25 March 2012.
The brand new six-leg series, which will take place on a trial basis this year, is open to all nations fielding one team composed of 3 or 4 riders at each leg.
The FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing 2012 will be run under FEI Eventing rules at CICO and CCIO 3* level and riders will accumulate points under a dedicated system created for the new series.

11 January 2012Christopher Schofield (GBR), former Chairman of Great Britain’s Young Rider Selectors programme, passed away on 4 January at the age of 90.
Many young British Eventing riders enjoyed success during his leadership of the Young Rider Selectors programme, including William Fox-Pitt, Tina Cook and Pippa Funnell.
