Another exciting FEI Eventing World Cup weekend lies ahead

27 July 2004

Kalispell, Montana (USA) and Warwick (AUS) will host the 12th and 13th legs of the 2004 FEI Eventing World Cup season. Two qualifiers already took place in the United States in March at Tallahassee, FL followed by Temecula, CA. Similarly, this is Australias second event of the series coming after the very successful competition organised at Werribee Park near Melbourne in June.

The Holden Crewman Cross 8 Warwick Horse Trials will be held on 24 and 25 July at Morgan Park, Warwick (AUS). Dressage will begin on Saturday 24 at 8h30 and will be followed by Cross Country run from 13h00 to 15h30. Show Jumping will be held on the following day from 9h00. Eleven other classes, with among them a CIC 2*, a CIC 1*, a CIC 1s Junior and a CIC 1* Junior Team Challenge, will be organised in conjunction with the FEI Eventing World Cup qualifier. A Hippomanic Picnic, picnic to the power of horses, which received AUD 25,000 in funding from the Queensland Events Regional Development Programme, will provide unforgettable entertainment for competitors and spectators alike.

In addition to being part of the 2004 FEI Eventing World Cup calendar, the event at Rebecca Farm, Kalispell, Montana (USA) will also act as an Olympic qualifier. It is one of seven selected events for the United States Eventing Association (USEA) Gold Cup Series.

Dressage will start at 16h20 on Friday 23 July. Cross Country will be held on Saturday 24 July from 13h00 to 14h00 and will be followed by Show Jumping on Sunday.

Rebecca Broussard, owner of the facilities and organiser of the show, has been involved in Eventing in the state of Montana and the US West Coast since 1985. She was the President of the local Combined Training Association, Area VII Young Rider Coordinator and organiser of the Herron Park Horse Trials for 17 years. Rebecca became a board member and the sponsor hostess for the North American Young Rider Championship in 1999. In 2001, she was awarded the Governor's Cup for her outstanding contribution to the sport of Eventing. For the last six years, she has been a member of the USEA Board of Governors and is currently a trustee of the USEA Endowment Foundation. Rebecca Broussard also owns several upper level horses.
