  • Series and Events in Dressage

    Dressage, the highest expression of horse training, is considered to be the art of equestrian sport and is used as the groundwork for all the other disciplines. In 2010, there were 376 Dressage and 17 Para-Equestrian Dressage International Events held around the world (for more statistics, check out the FEI Annual Report. To find out about dates and venues of International Dressage & Para-Equestrian Dressage events around the world, use the FEI Search Centre. The premier Dressage & Para-Equestrian Dressage events (Games, Championships and Series) are: 

    Olympic & Paralympic Games
    The Olympic & Paralympic Games take place every four years in a bissextile year. The last editions were held in Hong Kong (CHN) in 2008. The next Games will be staged in 2012 in London (GBR). For more information on the Olympic Games, click here, and for the Paralympic Games, click here.

    Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™
    The FEI World Equestrian Games™ are held every four years in the even years between the Olympic Games. In 2010, the Games did cross the Atlantic for the very first time and were held in Kentucky (USA). For more information, click here. The next Games will be staged in 2014 in Basse-Normandie (FRA).

    Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage
    Since its creation in 1985, the FEI World Cup™ Dressage series has been the climax of the indoor season drawing ever greater spectator interest wherever the competitions play out around the world. Riders from four different leagues will be attempting to qualify for the 2011/2012 FEI World Cup™ Final in 's Hertogenbosch (NED). For more information, visit the dedicated hub here.
