Charlotte Dujardin becomes first Briton to lead World Dressage Rankings
6 September 2012Great Britain’s Charlotte Dujardin and the 10-year-old Dutch warmblood gelding Valegro, double Olympic gold medallists at London 2012, have taken over as world number one in the FEI World Individual Dressage Rankings and are the first British combination ever to top the world rankings.
With 2,867 points, the combination have moved up from second place to claim the top spot, 107 points clear of former world number one and London silver medallists Adelinde Cornelissen (NED) and Jerich Parzival, the Dutch pair that have led the rankings since July 2011.

Dana van Lierop was the show-stopper as The Netherlands scooped all gold in the Junior division, while Denmark’s Cathrine Dufour recorded a Danish double in the Young Riders at the FEI European Dressage Championships for Young Riders and Juniors 2012 which drew to a close in Berne, Switzerland today.

In Memoriam: Jane Goldsmith 1941 - 2012
6 June 2012Jane Goldsmith, a member of the FEI Para-Equestrian Committee and one of the pioneers of Para-Dressage in Great Britain, passed away peacefully on 2 June after a long illness.
Jane was born into a non-horsey family, but during her school years, she worked at a local riding school at weekends and in the evenings in return for being taught to ride. She would borrow the butcher’s delivery cart pony and go show jumping at weekends.
