FEI World Para-Equestrian Dressage Championships, Hartpury (GBR), 18-22 JulyThe picturesque setting of Hartpury where the FEI World Para-Equestrian Dressage Championships are currently being held woke up to less than ideal weather conditions this morning with unabated rain and little sign of respite from the torrential downpour currently engulfing most of England. While this has generated some unexpected and unlikely problems (minor and all resolved), there certainly is no dampening of the spirits. Marching on ahead, today the teams battle it out for the coveted team medals.

United States Dominate DressageThe United States Dressage team has won the team gold medal at the XV Pan American Games, taking place from 14 to 29 July in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Canada and Brazil won team silver and bronze, respectively. Individually, the USA claimed two more medals: gold for Christopher Hickey and silver for Lauren Sammis. Yvonne Losos de Muñiz of the Dominican Republic won the bronze medal. This was a Pan Am Dressage championship filled with firsts and milestones.
