Other information DUAL CITIZEN He was born in Germany and was originally known as Christian Bruhe. He changed his name to Christian Zimmermann and now has both German and Palestinian citizenship. Since 2013 the International Equestrian Federation [FEI] has recognised him as a Palestinian rider. He was encouraged to represent Palestine by Rami al Shaer, the father of Palestinian dressage rider Diana al Shaer.
