When and where did you begin this sport? She first rode a horse at age five and participated in her first dressage competition at age 11.
Why this sport? She knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in equestrian sports. "Before I was born both my parents were already experienced riders. They tried all the disciplines, but finally settled on dressage. Seeing them ride every day as a child, I asked to ride too. And of course, I loved it right away."

The centre and its horses are named after Le Puits de l'Auture, a series of natural rock wells on the Atlantic Ocean coast of Saint Palais sur Mer, where Marie-Helene spent her childhood holidays.
