Other information CAREER
At age 16 he moved to Hickstead, England, where he worked for a year under Irish jumper Shane Breen. He then moved on to ride with Irish riders Cian O'Connor and Cameron Hanley. In 2015 he became stable rider for Bertram Allen in Hunxe, Germany. "I mainly help Bertram train the younger horses. As he does so many five-star shows there normally aren't classes for the younger horses, so I mostly do two- and three-star shows and compete the horses Bertram doesn't have time to." (independent.ie, 23 Apr 2017; eqnewsandsportsmedia.com, 12 Jan 2016; clickonhorse.com, 01 Sep 2015)

He was selected for the 2016 European Equestrian Federation Young Riders Academy. The academy offers six months' training at a top stables, plus an academic education. "The academy has not only improved my knowledge on everything to do with horses but it has also opened my mind to new ideas and concepts on running a stable, that otherwise I wouldn't have known."
