Other information TO UKRAINE AND BACK
Having made her international debut for Germany, she began representing Ukraine in 2005. "It happened in 2004 after I had won at the German championships. It is an unwritten rule that if you win there you get to ride in Aachen. Right ahead of the show I was told that somebody else would get to go instead, and that was kind of turning on the lights for me. Riding for Ukraine I would at least get the possibility, and show myself." From January 2016, she decided to switch back to competing for Germany. (Athlete, 05 Jan 2016; worldofshowjumping.com, 31 Jul 2012)

In October 2015 she became a board member of the International Show Jumping Riders' Club [IJRC], which works on global issues within the sport. (ijrc.org, 09 Oct 2015)

She runs Katharina Offel Sporthorses in Puth, Netherlands. (katharinaoffel.com, 04 Sep 2017)
